Push to Mush and Lengthen to Strengthen

This is another memorable/quotable comment from Ken Campbell. He is the brilliant kinesiology teacher I talked about in How to Turn Your Dream into a Reality. Well there are certain hand motions used in kinesiology. Ken is a great teacher so he gives lots of easy ways to remember things.

Push to Mush and Lengthen to Strengthen

If you take your index finger and your thumb and bring them together, that is your “push to mush.” If you then open those same fingers wide, so it looks like the letter L, that is your “lengthen to strengthen.” Aside from these basic motions used in muscle testing, this meant a lot to me.

Push to mush. It is closed, it is negative. Other that things to you do to inanimate objects, there really are not too many positive references to pushing any one. Lengthen to strengthen. It is open. When you open your eyes and stretch in the morning, it feels good.

Take those two and allow yourself to expand to fill the wondrous possibilities of your life. Lengthen, stretch, and grow your mind, body and spirit into the best person you can be. Don’t push other people around or allow yourself to be pushed around. That very action closes you both off from the blessings you deserve and have worked for.

Push to Mush and Lengthen to Strengthen

Yeah, I got all of that out of that simple phrase and hand motion. Life is full of fun lessons when you are open to receiving them.

Are you open to receiving your lessons? Try it. Just for today. Be open and see what you learn.

INjoy,
dionne
